Leonard Weed is the principal of MarketConnexion, based in Boulder, CO. He founded the company in 1999, after realizing the need for greater sophistication in the use of market intelligence in business-to-business and consumer magazine publishing. Prior to MarketConnexion, Leonard was with Petersen Publishing/EMAP USA where he was a Group Circulation Director managing their Boulder office, which was responsible for compiling and delivering circulation marketing data company-wide. Prior to joining Petersen, Leonard directed circulation database and fulfillment management groups for Cahners Publishing (now Reed USA) and Primedia. In each of those companies Leonard worked closely with Executive Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing & Business Development to drive revenue and create new businesses by supporting circulation and advertising initiatives.

With 25 years of database design and management experience, Leonard’s background includes full P&L responsibility, staff management and systems development roles on both the service provider side and the customer side of the business. At MarketConnexion Leonard has used the sound basics of circulation direct marketing to assist major media and marketing companies with exciting new programs.  In recent years our client base has expanded into database marketing support for major Internet driven marketing companies.  By assisting a wide range of marketing organizations to recognize goals and to implement them quickly, clients are seeing much needed changes quickly and easily integrated into their successful organizations.



In addition to his management and consulting skills, Leonard is very proud of the long term relationships that have developed over time, allowing him close access to, and understanding of, direct marketing suppliers and buyers. Leonard belongs to many industry trade groups and is often a presenter or panelist at annual FMA, WFMA, NCDM and Folio shows.
